About Marylee
Served my country. Served my family. Ready to serve my community.
Marylee Leu is a Navy veteran, devoted mom, and proven problem-solver running for the DuPage County Board. She currently serves as President of the DuPage County Regional Office of Education working alongside local schools to support students and educators across the county.
For more than two decades she has combined service, family, and community leadership—first in uniform as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman, then as a hands-on parent active in local schools and nonprofits, and today as a project manager working with governments and community partners.
From serving her country to raising her family to working inside government, Marylee has built a reputation for common-sense action and steady leadership. She listens carefully, learns from every perspective, and makes thoughtful decisions that improve people’s everyday lives whether that’s helping neighbors access renewable-energy programs or ensuring county policies put families first.
Marylee’s deep roots in DuPage County and her practical, no-nonsense approach mean she’s ready to represent residents with integrity, compassion, and a focus on real results.

Deep Local Roots
Marylee has called DuPage County home since 2010, raising her two children here. From Indian Prairie Preschool to Waubonsie Valley High School and Metea Valley, her family’s roots in this community run deep.
Service & Education
From 1996–2001, Marylee served as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman in ER and ICU units in Naples, Italy and Portsmouth, Virginia. While serving, she earned a B.S. in Liberal Arts with a Nursing, minor proof of her drive to care for others and perform under pressure.
Career & Community Work
After her service, Marylee worked as a Project Manager in pharmacy benefits and volunteered in schools and nonprofits, including Planned Parenthood. She later joined the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and became a caseworker in Child Support Services, seeing firsthand how policy affects everyday families.
Problem‑Solver in Action
Today, as a Project Manager at Accelerate Climate Solutions, Marylee works with County Board members, city councils, and nonprofits to expand access to renewable energy, building the relationships and know‑how to deliver results.
